Confirm the event happened
Verify XP was awarded and that the member’s cumulative total crossed a level boundary. If the member did not level up, use the XP diagnostic rather than changing the message template.
Check the intended destination
For a local destination, repeat the test in the source channel. For a configured destination, confirm the channel still exists, is text-based, and Atom can view and send messages in it.
Then check the message itself
Use a short known-good message before reintroducing variables or embeds. That separates a delivery problem from a template problem and gives staff a reliable baseline.
