Discord leveling system
Atom is a Discord leveling bot for communities that want a progression system they can actually tune. It connects text, voice, and reaction activity to XP, levels, visible rank, and reward roles from one web dashboard.
A study group may want thoughtful help in a few channels; a gaming guild may want to recognize play sessions and conversation. Choose the activity that should count, then set a text cooldown and channel multipliers around that behaviour. A longer cooldown makes rapid, low-value messages less rewarding without making every active member feel policed.
Progress works when members can see what it means. Define a small number of early reward roles, show rank cards, and explain the rules in a server channel. Add a leaderboard only when friendly competition supports the culture; it is not a substitute for clear XP rules.
Practical workflow
In the dashboard, set the text XP cooldown before choosing how quickly levels should move.
Configure channel multipliers and role-specific XP ranges where some spaces or member groups deserve different treatment.
Add level reward roles, then test the member experience with a staff account before announcing the system.
