- Atom can combine text, voice, and reaction activity in one level system.
- Level rewards are Discord roles that Atom assigns when a member reaches an eligible milestone.
- A change to the level formula resets stored leveling progress, so choose it before a public launch.
✦ Nice work, @Nova Rook — you reached Level 13.
Your next reward is Regular at Level 15.
Begin with the member experience
Before opening the dashboard, write one sentence that explains what earns progress in your community. A helpful study-server answer, a good event conversation, and time in a real voice session are different signals. The settings should reinforce the signal you actually want.
Launch a small first version
Use a modest set of early milestones, test with a staff account, and tell members where to check their rank. Add special events, more rewards, and extra activity sources only after the first version is behaving as expected.
Recommended sequence
- Invite Atom and open your server dashboard.
- Set text XP, voice rules if you need them, and the progression formula before members earn XP.
- Create a few level-reward roles and test role assignment with a staff account.
- Publish a short explanation of how members earn XP, then review the first week of results.
